I'm rushing this post out because school is starting soon. Just a reminder, I'm writing up some reviews on Mac note-taking applications, which will come in handy for taking notes during lectures. If you haven't read the three other reviews, please visit Taking Note of Taking Notes - Part 2
Journler ($19.95 Student License)
Journler is an interesting application. It seems more like a media organizer with iLife integration, but it does have some good note-taking ability.
Pros: Can add multiple file type (audio, video, photos)
Cons: No syncing, more about organizing files
Find more, go to http://journler.com.
Yojimbo by Bare Bones Software ($29 Educational)
Yojimbo is the big name in info organizers. It's created by Bare Bones Software, which created BBEdit and TextWrangler, both popular text-editing/coding software.
Pros: MobileMe Syncing, handy shelf
Cons: Does not have much control over preferences
For more information, visit Yojimbo's website.
DEVONthink ($49.95 US)
Pros: Has built in Artificial Intelligence (sounds fancy) that helps classify items, Good text editing, Good ways of viewing your
Cons: Expensive, More about file organization, No sync
To find out more, visit DEVONthink.
Conclusion
From these three applications, Yojimbo seems to be the best. So, it'll be between Yojimbo and Together. I'll be writing the conclusion and making the purchase tonight, so stay tuned.

I'm definitely grabbing Yojimbo for this year. They just put out 2.0 a couple of days ago, and the very hard-to-please John Gruber (of Daring Fireball fame) endorses it.
Should work well with the new Macbook Pro (ordering it Wednesday!)
I highly recommend looking into Together. I really like the feel of it. It also has many similar features to Yojimbo, but I'm just finding it has more customization.
Having managed my data in Journler and then in DEVONThink I’ve chucked the lot of info manager applications and deployed an organization approach for all my notes using just the file system. There is a touch of Noguchi’s philosophy in the criticality of chronology to the system, augmented by a few good coding systems.
I wrote about it here...File System Infobase Manager
It feels rather liberating being unhitched from the constriction of an application’s requirements.
